Diane joins the School Partnership after serving two terms on the Volusia County School Board. Diane considers herself a lifelong education advocate and is thrilled to work for a company that gives so much back to our local schools.
Diane was born and raised inFairview,NJ. She graduated fromCliffside ParkHigh Schooland then attendedBostonCollegeinChestnut Hill,MAfor two years. She continued her education at Montclair State College and, most recently, Daytona State College.
Diane, her husband, Kevin, and their daughters, Morgan and Taryn, moved to Deltona in 1990. Their daughters both attended and graduated from Volusia County Schools. Diane has been an active volunteer in both the school district and the community since moving to Deltona. She has served on local, county and state PTAs in leadership positions. She served on numerous school district committees such as School Advisory, District Advisory, Report Card Task Force, the Half Cent Sales Tax committee and Citizens for Excellent Schools. She served her community as a Girl Scout leader and is an active member of theDeltona Relayfor Life planning committee. She continues to volunteer in our schools and currently mentors a Take Stock in Children student. She currently serves as the President of the Healthy Start Coalition and as a member of the Girls on the Run Board.
Diane and her husband have been small business owners. Before becoming a School Board member in 2006, Diane worked for Volusia County Schools beginning in 1998 in the Community Education Department overseeing a 21stCenturyCommunityLearningCenter grant, the Community Ed Enrichment programs as well as the district’s entire afterschool program.
